Are you eager to plan that next trip but worried about breaking the bank or going over your budget? Well here are some quick and easy ways to earn some extra cash to save so you can make that next dream trip a reality!!!
1. Webull
This is actually one of my favorite new apps! If you are into stocks and trading then this is a great option for you! And even if you don't know anything about the market or stocks, this app could still get you an easy couple bucks just for creating an account and even more money if you make a deposit of any amount... it's that easy!!! How it works is that they have a promotion where by downloading the app and just creating an account you receive 2 free fractional share stocks (each valued between $3-$300). If you make an initial deposit of any amount then you receive an additional either 4, 8, or 10 free fractional share stocks (valued between $7-$3000) depending on the luck of the draw. All of my shares have been anywhere between $3-$7 which is likely what most can expect (I would not anticipate the $300 or $3000 shares as your odds are likely not in your favor for that much good luck unfortunately.)
Now when I created an account and made an initial $5 deposit, I in return received my 2 fractional shares for the account and an additional 8 for the deposit. Combined, the amount of the 10 fractional shares I received was $42!!! The great things about this is that all I invested was $5 and within a few days could withdrawal my original investment of the $5 plus the additional $42 in free money I received! Additionally, if you share your referral code, both the individual signing up for a new account receives the same benefits you did while also providing you with 15 additional fractional shares just by sharing your code and referring a new account opening. I've already shared mine with some family and friends and have now grown that original $5 investment into $151 by just referring 1 family member thus far who have already created accounts and made their initial investments. If you're interested in giving Webull a try then click here to sign up and create an account! It only takes a few minutes to complete!
2. Donate Plasma
This is the first side hustle on my list as this one by far will make you the most money overall and is also the fastest option to achieve your goal of banking substantial extra cash. I used to see this idea listed on many other blogs but never believed that it would be worth your time. I also was afraid of any potential risks as it involved drawing your blood; however, I finally made the move at the end of this past August and found my local CSL Plasma donation site and gave it a try. To my surprise, it was a super easy process! The first visit took about two and a half hours. This is mostly due to the fact that you have to watch a video on how the process works and after that must complete a physical by one of the medical staff members. Once this process is complete and you pass the health questionnaire survey, then you are cleared to donate that same day!!! I walked out of there with $100 (which they load onto a credit/debit card.)
My local CSL location has a promotion going so that if you donate 8 times within the first 45 days you will receive a total of $825 for those 8 visits. After the initial promotion period, the pay rate varies a bit based off of a few different factors, but I continue to make an extra $115 per week by donating twice each week. Every follow up donation visit on average takes between 1-1.5 hours. If you are looking at making a decent amount of extra money in a relatively short amount of time, I would highly recommend Plasma donation. You're not only making extra money for yourself, but in return you are also helping to save lives with your donation. Use the referral code UUL7XWDQ57 for an extra 500 bonus iGive points when you register and donate at least two times.
3. Uber/Lyft
This one is pretty straight forward and a pretty popular source of extra income for many already. If you have never heard of Uber or Lyft then this post is not likely for you. I personally have not driven for either ride share company, but do no many people who have either done this in the past or are currently drivers for one of the two services. This can be a rather profitable side job if you have the spare time to spend a few hours or so at least once or twice a week. If you have more time, some folks even turn this into their main source of income! If you have a nice, reliable vehicle, and some extra time on your hands, this may be a good choice for you. On average most novice drivers can make anywhere from 100-200 dollars a week just spending a few hours or a day or two driving. Peak hours and special events in your city obviously will affect pay rates and even tips so be efficient and try to drive when the demand is high in your area!
4. Dasher or UberEats
This one, like the last one, is pretty straight forward. Instead of driving people around town, use your spare time to pick up food orders and deliver them in your area. You can pick the area of town you would like to drive in and there's even "Peak Pay" options where the app will tell you particularly high demand time windows and locations that you can reserve driving slots for. This can help guarantee that you are maximizing your time by making the most money possible with increased hourly rates depending on time of day/night and overall demand. I downloaded the app and registered an account a few months ago. I don't use this app often, but occasionally 1 day a week or so I may spend an hour or two completing a few orders while driving home from work or if driving out of town for something. It's an easy way to make an extra 10 bucks or so per every hour of deliveries.
If food delivery isn't for you, there is an app called RoadieDriver. This app allows you to log in anytime and make deliveries for people. It works best if you're able to find a delivery near your route home from work or something like that where you can easily swing by a location, grab the items that need to be delivered, and drop them off within the designated time frame. It's that simple!!! It's really worth it if you have a fairly long commute because why not try to make some extra cash along the way on what already would be your typical evening commute!!! Plus you can do it on your own time, anytime you'd like, unlike driving for Amazon where you're stuck for potentially a few hours making countless deliveries.
5. Facebook Marketplace or Ebay
Tired of all that junk that's been laying around the house? Are you looking to declutter? One of these sites may help you sell some of those items that you haven't used in years or may be sitting in a box somewhere or even just collecting dust on a shelf. These types of sites are easy and quick ways to list that unused or unwanted item or items. As the saying goes, "one person's junk, is another person's treasure!" Ebay has been around for ever it seems, but this is still my go to site for selling unwanted things around the house. I've also used Facebook Marketplace from time to time but not as frequent personally. Facebook Marketplace is likely the more common site these days of the two and depending on the size of the time one site may be better than the other (Ebay for smaller, more easily shipped items; however, Facebook Marketplace for heavier, bulkier items that need picked up in person.) Whichever you use, be sure to read some of the helpful hints and FAQs on each site's seller pages to ensure you have a seamless experience during the process. In addition to these two main sites, there are many others such as Poshmark, Craigslist, Etsy, and Swappa.
Honorable Mentions... These are a few additional apps and sites which I have used over the last few months to make some additional money; however, don't expect to get rich fast off of these ones. These all take more time to accrue any money and usually in most cases its a couple bucks every week or so.
Zogo - Here you can earn "pineapples" which can then in turn be converted into gift cards once you reach at least 5,000 pineapples. It's pretty easy to achieve the 5,000 in as little as 3-5 days if you spend just 15-30 minutes/day reading through a couple brief modules and taking short, 3-5 question quizzes. There's also daily trivia which will give you bonus pineapples if you complete 3 days in a row. I just downloaded this app less than 3 weeks ago and already have cashed in on $15 dollars in Amazon gift cards. To be super efficient, I go on Zogo while donating plasma so I kill two birds with one stone and it helps pass the time while laying there donating!!!
Sweatcoin - This is a cool app that rewards you for being active throughout the day. It measures your steps and converts those steps into what's called "sweatcoins." In turn, you can then use those sweatcoins like cash to purchase items, gift cards, or online special offers and discounts. I've already cashed some of mine in for things such as a free 3 month trial to a fitness app, a $200 eGift card from Restaurant.com, and a few free health & wellness skin products, etc... This is probably the most passive of all the apps i've come across because you literally just go about your normal day and check the app every so often to see how many sweatcoins you've accrued from all your daily activity! It truly does pay to walk, who would have ever thought! For more check out the link here!
Yougov.com - This one is a little more time consuming compared to the others on this list; however, it's another easy way to work towards making a few extra bucks. With yougov.com, you create an account and based off some questionnaire information, they will send you an email whenever a survey becomes available that is appropriate for you to complete. Each survey takes anywhere from 10-15. minutes on average. You basically earn the equivalent to approximately $1 or so per survey. I usually get a new survey invite every 1-2 days on average equating to about $3-4 per week. Moral of the story with this one is that you won't be able to retire anytime soon, but after a few weeks you may have accrued enough points to cash in for a gift card or two!
Inboxdollars.com - I have frequently come across mention of Inboxdollars on many blogs over the last couple years as it seems to be a popular reference for making some quick money on the side. Overall, I am not the biggest fan of this site; however, that said, I have utilized it on and off again over the last 3 years or so and in total have cashed out ~$450 or so by just playing games, completing a few surveys, watching some videos, etc... I recently just made $100 from Inboxdollars through a promotion where if you create a new Dasher account and make your first delivery you then get $100 through Inboxdollars. This was another example of killing two birds with one stone and making money from delivering food with Dasher while also gaining the additional $100 through the inboxdollars promotion!
Final Thoughts...
Whether you're tight on cash or just trying to save some extra money for your next trip or big ticket item purchase, I hope more than 1 of these avenues can help you achieve your goals!
